21 years since its captivating debut, the gripping story of life on the mean streets of Rio returned to the big screen through a partnership between The Festival Agency & AllCity.
To commemorate the anniversary re-release of The City Of God, AllCity crafted a comprehensive campaign featuring new Key Art, strategic publicity initiatives, and a series of engaging events. As part of the celebration, we partnered with charities, offering exclusive limited edition skateboards, and unveiling unique apparel.
Key Art
The City of God 21st Anniversary re-release required
a global campaign, including key art, a new trailer, social and digital assets, to reintroduce the film to a modern audience while preserving its legacy. A major challenge was balancing nostalgia with a fresh visual direction, ensuring the campaign appealed to both long-time fans and new audiences across
international markets.
Created using a mix of stills and illustration, the Key Art was designed to be localised on demand and crafted to appeal to a new younger audience.
AllCity X x Clown Skateboards
In our commitment to maximising audience engagement, we created limited edition, localised promotional materials tailored for specific territories, to further expand and enhance the film's reach.
As part of a collaboration with Clown Skateboards' founders, I designed and illustrated a skate capsule that embodies the film's essence while supporting its portrayed communities. Proceeds from this collection will be administered through In Action CIC with Damian Platt MBE.
